I am overwhelmed by the recognition I received on Sunday, December 16th at the 10:45 Worship Service. The Michael Podesta framed calligraphy on “Healing” is beautifully done and I will cherish it always. The roses were lovely and I really needed the sprinkling of water as they were presented! It is a privilege and an honor to be a part of the ministry of this church. Being your Parish Nurse has permitted me to continue the work that I have always loved and permitted me to serve the church. I have gotten to know so many people on a more personal basis and treasure these friendships. The Lord has blessed me by giving me the strength to continue His work for so many years. I am also grateful for the encouragement and assistance from our Pastor, John LeGault and from the church staff and volunteers. What a difference you all have made in my recovery from open heart surgery! Your prayers have been answered and our Lord has provided His healing powers through the skills of the doctors and nurses. The family of Grace Woltz would like to thank the members of First United Methodist Church for the lovely reception following our mother’s funeral. We also appreciate the expressions of sympathy we have received in the form of flowers, calls and donations. We have acknowledged all we are aware of, however the cards for two of the floral arrangements were not given to us and we have no idea who they were from. If anyone sent flowers and has not received a written note please let Glenda Miller, the church secretary know so we can properly thank you. Additionally, we just discovered that neither of the addresses in the obituary for the charitable organizations we suggested were correct. The correct addresses are: I have contacted the Norfolk post office and asked them to intercept any that might come incorrectly addressed and redirect them to the correct address, but some that were received prior to my call, may be returned to sender. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and again, if you do not receive an acknowledgement from us please leave word with the church secretary so we can make certain that all donations are properly acknowledged. Thank you again for your kindness. Happy New Year! Thank you, all choir members, for you dedication and hard work in 2007!
God bless -
