I just wanted to let ya’ll know about the Card Project, that I have been doing since 9-10-01. This year now brings the grand total since 9-10-01 to 90,821 cards. I know what ya’ll must be thinking, because this total also blows my mind, but this couldn’t have happened without a lot of friends bringing me the fronts of all their greeting cards. One other church, Chestnut Memorial has been helping for the past 3 years, and their total has been over 21,000 for this time.
We also have another place that we have been helping, called Hope Haven, in Virginia Beach. It’s a school similar to Sarah Bonwell Hudgins Center, and Hope Haven is taking on the project of wanting to make place mats, and donating them to all the Nursing Homes, in the area. I personally think this will be a worthy undertaking, and I think all of you will agree too. I will be taking the fronts of all greeting cards again in 2008. BRING THEM ON!!!
Please let me finish by saying “I THANK ALL THAT HAVE GIVEN CARDS TO ME, FOR THE KIDS, A BIG, BIG THANK YOU, FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART."
