It is the beginning of another year in this first decade of the 21St Century. The years are rush- ing by aren't they? As I look back I see a good and busy year with much that has happened. I am thankful for all of it and the lives we hope we have touched. Christ continues to invite us to follow him right now, not tomorrow. These are words we should hear and respond to as we are lead. So where are you today in your Christian faith and walk? Many times we are waylaid by the busy lives we all live. Our hearts can grow cold to God's will and we can forget whose we are too. My favorite Dickens story "A Christmas Carol" reminds me that I can choose to become an Ebenezer Scrooge or not. With- out God we can evolve into God-less folk with cold hearts and we realize we do not really know him. That's a terrible state of affairs. It doesn't have to be that way. Christ knocks at our doors today and every day. Will we let him in, I mean really in? Will we let him move in to stay? The days of 2008 are unfolding minute by minute, day by day. It is time to put down our nets and take up our crosses and follow him. Easter arrives March 23`d this year, very early. Ash Wednesday will be February 6th. Re- mind yourself this year that you are God's be- loved child.
