mail_222511_print.gif To my FUMC Family,

It is hard to come up with the right words to let each of you know my thanks for your overwhelming generosity during one of the "valley" times of my life. However, patience is virtuous. My recovery is intense, it is slow, and it is sometimes painful, but God and I know (we knowJ!) this surgery was the "Great Physician's" total success. He used my manmade hero, Dr. Chester Sharps, and his education and experience, to perform some unprecedented surgery, and I have never been as straight and tall as I am now.

Your cards (I could open a used Hallmark Store, but would not part with any of my cards yet), calls, gifts, prayers, foods, encouragement, EVERYTHING, have been instrumental in carrying out God's plans. Larry, Lindsey, and I have again been the benefactors of so many riches that God has given to us; so many answers to prayers that He has granted for us; so many kindnesses that He has manifested to us through you; so many mercies that He has extended to us; and so many benefits that He has showered upon us. You all live the Bible, and you will never fully realize my heartfelt gratitude for your Christian Acts of Kindness.

Safety of the incisions and fusing of my lower spine are the greatest concerns as I convalesce, and my energy and stamina must be rebuilt as my scars heal. I will return to church when my surgeon feels I can handle the length of time required to be up and active. Until then, may each of you know how much you have enriched our lives through your endless love of God. Each of you has extra gems in your crowns, and I am humbled beyond words.

Love in Christ,

Debi Nicolai

We would like to express our many thanks to all who supported us through the death of Lisa's father. The cards, flowers, phone calls and prayers were truly a blessing during this time. It is wonderful to know we have such a supportive church family.

God bless you.

The Colemans, Ken, Lisa, Kate & Erin

We hit the jackpot, found the gold at the end of the rainbow, and discovered King Soloman's riches all rolled into one. The wealth of our family of faith at First Methodist cannot be measured. Minutes after Martha's accident you were there for us in the emergency room, with your presence and your prayers. The weeks that followed during her recovery you supported us with calls and cards, visits and food and nursing as well as continued prayers. We are so blessed and thankful for each and every one of you.

Jerry and Martha Dodson
