As I write this article, we are all busy with final preparations for the fall craft show and luncheon. By the time you receive this newsletter it will all be over. I know you will be anxious to find out how our hard work paid off. You will not want to miss your circle meeting this month and we have a very exciting general meeting coming up on Tuesday, November 15, at 10:30 a.m. This will be a very important meeting. New officers will be installed, budget and supplemental monies will be voted on and reading certificates will be given out. We will conclude the meeting with a salad bar luncheon.

The District Officers' Training will be held at Warwick Memorial United Methodist Church on Saturday, November 19, from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon. This is a must for all new officers and can be very helpful for any returning officers. While, I will not be an officer next year, I hope to see many of you there.

Every Flower Garden Is An Eden

by Joanne Bates

At the lovely inspiring service for Dale Kenneth Crumpler in the Sanctuary on Wednesday, October 5, there were several stunningly beautiful flower arrangements which were breath-taking. Looking at the brilliant colors and intricate perfection of those flowers, my immediate thought was, "God, only God." Only an omnipotent God who is also a very loving Father could have created so exquisitely and generously for His children.

Whether one believes that all plant life appeared on the earth in the few days of Creation, or that they and their beauty and variety evolved over eons - just as a careful gardener might spend most of his lifetime cross-breeding and nurturing his plants - there must have been some sort of Intelligent Design.

I believe that God is the Divine Artist and Gardener, sowing the seeds and lovingly tending His garden over the long years.

"God said, 'See, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is upon the face of the earth.'" Genesis 1:29
