Jim and Beth Maxwell have donated a book entitled, Dive into Living Water 50 Devotions for Teens on the Gospel of John, in memory of Andrew Nicholson. This book is on the list of the United Methodist Women's Reading Program for 2005 under the category Spiritual Growth - Youth. This inspirational donation is very much appreciated.
As in any library, we have several books and other material that come under the category REFERENCE. This means that these items are to be used in the library only. Please respect this designation. Currently, the latest copy of The Book of Discipline of the United Methodist Church is missing. Several of our church members have needed to use it. We would appreciate its immediate return.
First Church, as we all are, is a work in progress. Since our last update, the new carpeting has "really" been installed in the multi-purpose room. The furniture for the room has arrived too, so meetings can now be held there. The kitchen will take awhile before it is ready to use.
New children's chairs, thanks to a donor, have arrived for the Sunday school classes, as well as the nursery.
The painting of the fellowship hall is complete, except for the stage. The stage curtains, and new chairs are on order.
Replacement doors for the sacristy, boiler room, and meditation garden are on order.
Thanks to all those who are assisting with these projects.
