Children's Sunday School - preschoolers through 5th graders - just got more exciting. The children will be spending September and October experiencing the Creation story from Genesis 1:1-2:3 in a variety of ways. There will be music, art, cooking, games, puzzles, drama, and community service. Each week the children will participate in a different learning center. Why not join us this fall?
A continental breakfast will be hosted by the Education Committee on Sunday, September 11 from 9:10 a.m. to 9:40 a.m. All are welcome for breakfast then why not stay for Sunday School at 9:45 a.m. and receive some spiritual food for your faith journey. Worship will end a little early so those attending the 8:30 a.m. service can attend the breakfast.
All persons working in our children and youth programs (Sunday School, nursery, UM Youth, etc.) are required to participate in abuse prevention training on a regular basis. This year's training session will be held on Sunday, September 18 from noon until 2:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall. Lunch will be provided. Anyone interested in working in these programs is also welcome. All persons attending should register with Annette Pomeroy at the church office, so that she can adequately prepare for lunch.
Bibles will be presented to our new third graders on Sunday, September 25 at the 10:45 a.m. worship service. If you know a child, entering third grade, who is not listed below, please contact Annette Pomeroy immediately so that a Bible can be prepared for them. The following children from our church rolls are entering the third grade: Spencer Bacon, Jewel Carroll, Rebecca Gregory, Grayson Hubbard, and Grant Miller.
All youth in grades 6 through 12 are
invited to participate in UM Youth. We are a
group of Christian youth who serve others,
worship, learn and play together. Our first
meeting for the fall will be on Sunday,
September 18 at 6:00 p.m. in the
fellowship hall. We will start off with a
covered-dish supper followed by a planning
session for our fall activities/programs -
SOOOOO come with some ideas of what
you would like to do in the coming months.
This is a family affair, so please join us.
Questions, contact Annette Pomeroy at
