The Hilton Area Vacation Bible School (housed at HiltonPresbyterian and St. Andrew's Episcopal Churches) was experienced by 190 children plus approximately 100 adult leaders and youth helpers during the week of July 11-15. Each day provided time to sing, worship, hear Biblestories, and make crafts - all centered around the Lord's Prayer.
The monetary offering ($1,345) from the week went to LINK and a Lutheran program known as "Quarters for Africa." The children also brought in cleaning supplies which were delivered to LINK. The children put their learning into action for others.
Much spiritual preparation and manual labor was required, but the results were wonderful. The joyful expressions on the children's faces were indeed an ample "Thank You" for a job well done.
