Check your bulletins this summer as we pick a few dates to go see our local Pilots play at War Memorial Stadium. It will be a fun way to support our national past time along with fellow church members.
On Friday, June 17, beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the church fellowship hall, Tidewater Friends of Folk Music in conjunction with Family Life will present the group, Celtastrophe. This group plays Celtic Music and has as one of its members, Dr. Thomas Witty, former partner in dentistry with our own Dr. Henry McCoy. Come out for a fun evening. There is no cost for this coffee-house-type event.
The Cherub/Wesley and Epworth Choirs will sing on Sunday June 12 for the Second Service Only. They will have a break for the summer and begin rehearsing again after Labor Day. Watch the September Tower for details!
Coming Soon! Time to start cleaning out all of those attics, garages and closets. The UMM garage sale is Saturday, June 11 from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon. This is one of our biggest fund raising events of the year and an opportunity for you to help support our many mission projects with the donation of unneeded items from your home. If you need someone to transport any items, call the church office at 595-0383, or contact Ken Coleman at 356-9990 or Dick Kintigh at 930-2417. Please consider donating usable items in good condition that would be appealing for most individuals. All left over items that are in non-sellable condition make it most difficult for donation to local charities after the sale is complete. Thank you for your support again this year for this fun event.
Our pastor, John LeGault is looking for volunteers to help with registration at Annual Conference especially Sunday, June 12 and Monday, June 13. It takes a lot of workers to get everyone registered. Contact John soon if you can help.
