On May 17, we held our
second general meeting for
the year. While attendance
was disappointing,
enthusiasm was high. Our
special guest was Susan
Goodwin, who gave us some
insight into what it is like to
be a woman in Peru. Many of
us were ready to sign up to
go with her on her next trip.
We also had our Candle Burning Ceremony.
This year we collected $512.20 which
represents the cost of supporting a
missionary for 14 minutes. It sounded like a
lot of money, but when that candle was
snuffed out - well, it seemed like a very
short time. The gifts given were as follows:
