050312-001p.jpg Well, I've been told that spring is here. I see the daffodils blooming and little birds making nests and the UMW has had its Annual Spring Fashion Show-so while the weather outside doesn't feel like spring, it must indeed be spring.

On March 12, in spite of a few snow flurries, that quickly faded away, we had a beautiful fashion show with Anne's Fashions of Grafton.

050312-004p.jpg A delicious lunch was prepared by Kathy Hubbard and Martha Dodson and their kitchen crew. The lunch was served to us this year by some of the youngest, best-looking men First Church has to offer.

Judy Talbert, once again made and donated our table decorations and she decorated the stage. Judy's special touch always makes everything so beautiful.

We had nine beautiful models; coordinated by Barbara Swiatek to show off four lovely outfits each. They were escorted by Jerry Dodson and John LeGault.

We also had two very special helpers with the door prizes-Danielle and Nathaniel Banks. Danielle is a United Methodist Women's President-in-Training.

It takes many people to pull together an event like our fashion show. There are so many people working in the background-making and serving drinks, setting the tables, cleaning up afterwards, etc. It would just be impossible to name everyone who helps in so many ways. But when its all said and done, we remember that it is all for the honor and glory of God. We do not have a final tally at this point, but our treasurer, Sally Walker, says we should have somewhere in the neighborhood of $1800 to use for mission projects. Well done, my sisters in Christ.
