Bereavement Support Committee

The Bereavement Support Committee held one reception in April for the family of Dolly Wright. Next month's committee will be Carolyn Smith, Margaret Warren and Sally Walker.

April 16 - 17

The Virginia Annual Conference Spring Laity Spiritual Retreat will be held in Blackstone, VA. Dr. David McAllister-Wilison, President of Wesley Theological Seminary will be the leader.

May 15

A stewardship workshop will be held at Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Portsmouth. It will be conducted by David Bell, Director of the Christian Stewardship at the United Methodist General Board of Discipleship.

July 21 - 24

The Southeastern Jurisdiction Laity Retreat will be held at Lake Junaluska, NC. Pastor M. J. Kim will be one of the guest preachers at this retreat.

XYZ for April '05

The XYZ Group will be meeting in the Fellowship Hall on Wednesday, April 27 at 12:00 noon for our covered-dish luncheon. We will be joined by a Victorian Exercise Enthusiast (Mary Kayasilcuk), one of the "History Chicks." This should be a fun program, so come along for Christian fellowship and bring a friend or neighbor.
