Giant waves crash upon the land.
Mud and huge boulders destroy houses.
But you, O Lord, are still the immovable
center of our world.
We weep for lost lives and so much
devastation
But we rejoice in the love and helping
hands which come to the aid of those
left in desolation.
For we know that you have placed in our hearts your own spirit of loving kindness
We rush in to lift the burdens of others,
just as you have always uplifted and
comforted us.
You make life more beautiful, Lord,
both in times of joy and in sadness.
May we praise your Holy name forever. Amen.
