Speaking of love, let us examine the 2005 Communion Sunday Offerings. These offerings allow us to show our love to others, to help those in much greater need than any of us.

As you know we have already received our January Communion Offering for the Tsunami Disaster Relief. Everyone was most generous because of the devastation of life and property, $3,699 was collected. Many thousands of people will never be found; whole towns vanished in minutes. We are so blessed. Remember to continue your prayers for those who remain alive.
We have received another check from Food Lion-be sure to give the checker your card whenever you buy anything there. If you have not signed up to have a contribution go to our church, please do so immediately. New members-that includes you, sign up with Gerry in the church office.
Please continue your efforts, bring these used items to the church:
Recycling at home is also vital. Put all possible items in your large recycle container for pick up. As you know, we are trying to save our city, state, country and our world. We owe it to our great grand children and their great, great, great grand children. Pledge to start Here and Now, before it is too late.
As mentioned in the Sunday bulletins, we do not need clothes at this time, Except for these items:
We have received several "thank you" notes from the food box recipients. They are posted on the bulletin board around the corner from the kitchen.
Jerry Dodson delivered 14 bags of food to LINK on January 4. Keep the groceries coming, there are many families living on the edge, not homeless but making it one day at a time.
Jerry told me he also has a large bag of personal items: soaps, shampoo, tooth paste, wash cloths, tooth brushes, razors, hand lotion, and that type of item to be turned in as well.
