Lines Double
Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name. Psalm 100:4 NIV

Orchards have shared their treasures,
The fields, their yellow grain,
So open wide the doorway -
Thanksgiving comes again!

This year the Hilton Community Thanksgiving Eve Service will be held at our church on Wednesday, November 24 at 7:00 p.m.

The first Sunday in Advent is November 28. Advent booklets will be in the pew racks and available for the congregation to take home and use throughout the season. Our Advent wreath will be up for the lighting to take place each Sunday.

On Sunday, November 28 at 4:00 p.m. the District Conference will be held in our sanctuary. It will be lead by our new Bishop, Charlene P. Kammerer and our Peninsula District Superintendent, Myrtle Frances Hatcher. Holy Communion will be served by intinction. A reception, given by the Reverend Myrtle Frances Hatcher and her husband, John, will follow in the fellowship hall and all are invited. It is suggested that those in attendance bring a loaf of unsliced bread to be given to the food banks in our area.

Virginia Handbell Consort
Established in 1996 as a community handbell ensemble of auditioned musicians, the Virginia Handbell Consort offers a stunning demonstration in the art of English handbell ringing. They perform on five octaves of Schulmerich handbells, four octaves of Melody Chimes, three octaves of Petit and Fritsen bells, and other percussion instruments.
Marjorie Scrnicky, director, is organist and Director of Music at Saint Paul's Episcopal Church in Suffolk, Virginia.
A reception following the program is hosted by the Education Committee and our Youth.
