During the worship service on Sunday, December 19 the children of the church will create a tableau of the nativity as the Christmas story is read. The children will not need to learn any "lines." Every child who wants to participate will be included. Simple costumes will be provided. There will be a rehearsal on Saturday, December 18 at 10 a.m. If you would like to help with this, please contact Kim Webster or Annette Pomeroy at the church office.

Christian Believer: Knowing God with Heart and Mind begins in January

cblogo.gif

This study will meet weekly for 30 weeks with each session being two hours in length. The goal of Christian Believer is to make available to people the substance of the Christian faith that the church has confessed as a way of connecting to God and living faithfully. Christian Believer concentrates on the classical doctrines of the Christian faith - those that emerged in early Christianity as it struggled to understand its Scripture and its experience of Jesus, and that have remained central to church teaching through the centuries. Topics will include - Human Condition: Sin, Grace, Salvation, Jesus Christ: Human/Divine, The Trinity, Eternal Life - just to name a few.

The group will meet one evening a week starting the first or second week in January. If you are interested in joining this study group, please contact Annette Pomeroy at the church office (595-0383).

Advent Calendars given to children

Advent calendars will be given to the children and youth of the church (one per family). This is an excellent way for children to "count down" the days to the birth of Jesus on Christmas Day. Calendars will be distributed on Sunday, November 21. Please contact Annette Pomeroy, if for some reason your children do not receive a calendar.
