Son Games: God's Team in Action

The Hilton Area Vacation Bible School (housed at Hilton Presbyterian and St. Andrew's Episcopal Churches) was experienced by 190 children plus approximately 100 adult leaders and youth helpers during the week of July 19-23. Each day provided time to sing, worship, hear Bible stories, and make crafts -- all centered around the life of Paul.

The monetary offering ($1500) from the week went to the Peninsula Chapter of Special Olympics and to the purchase of school supplies for Briarfield and Sedgefield Elementary Schools. The children also brought in school supplies which were delivered to the schools by the 6^th grade class. In addition, the elementary children decorated 76 canvas bags which were filled with items (water bottle, sweat towel, tissues, lanyard, candy) for the Special Olympic participants. The children truly were God's Team in Action.

Much spiritual preparation and manual labor was required, but the results were wonderful. The joyful expressions on the children's faces were indeed an ample "Thank You" for a job well done.
