As I am writing this article, it seems that I
am going through the whole church directory. Many volunteered for PORT during our "hosting the homeless" sessions in January and in March. It is a joy to have my belief in our church family's dedication to the less fortunate confirmed. I would like to have written a note to each of you, but other jobs got in the way. Please forgive me and know that the homeless THANK YOU and GOD loves you for all that you do to help his people. This report is long overdue, but finally it has been tallied and here are some of the facts:

| We hosted an average of 53 - 60 homeless guests during each session. | |
Be sure to reserve this date on your calendar: Thursday, January 17, 2005 We want to take another van load and maybe even add a car load. Clear your calendar now and we will be expecting you!
Communion Sunday in July is reserved for LINK/PORT contributions. We work closely with them and know their needs, so remember to be as generous as possible. Watch the Bulletin on Sunday also for any other information.
August is Heifer Project Sunday. We did so good last year, please watch the bulletin for more information.
Monday, September 27 through Sunday, October 3, 2004, there will be displays, dances, gifts from foreign lands, speakers, missionaries to visit with, meals and much more. What a glorious time we can have, please be a part of it or you will really miss out on something special!
