The United Methodist Men would like to THANK all who donated their time, talents and treasures to the yard sale. The men were able to donate OVER $900 to Heart Havens! PRAISE GOD!
There will be no meeting in July. On Saturday, August 21 at 8:00 a.m. ALL are invited to breakfast. Dennis Gast from the Bible Broadcasting Network will be our speaker. He is the station manager for WYFI and the area representative of the BBN. The purpose of BBN is to make eternal impressions on listeners, and to evangelize those who don't know Jesus Christ. Let's have a good turnout to hear a good message from this guest speaker.
First, I would like to thank the members of The Cherub/Wesley and Epworth Choirs and their parents for the wonderful contribution they have made to First Church. It is a huge time commitment that they have made as volunteers. The Chancel Choir will sing on Sunday mornings through the end of July and will then take a well deserved rest for the month of August. When you see one of our choir members, please remember to thank them for their contribution which so enriches our church services. We will certainly miss Sara-Ann Pomeroy and Graham Midyette next year and wish them much success in college.
As many of you know, we will celebrate our Sanctuary's 50th Anniversary on Sunday, September 12. Because we need extra preparation, ALL CHOIRS will rehearse on Wednesday, September 8. The Cherub/Wesley and Epworth Choirs will rehearse together that evening at 6:30 p.m. Any new members should wait until Wednesday, September 22 to begin. I will also rehearse with The Chancel Choir on Sunday morning, August 22 at 10:15 a.m.
