Mark these dates on your calendar now and decide how you can work with us to provide for our guests. There are a lot of different jobs!
Put your faith to work and become the hands, feet and heart of God as we serve those less fortunate.
The Peninsula District Navajo Mission Team that we contribute to with part of our Lenten (Easter) Offering, will have a volunteer in mission member from First United Methodist Church, Newport News. Yes, one of our new members, Bob Kernell has asked to go and represent us in the field. He has promised to return with information and tell us all about his experiences.
After inquiring around church, it seems that we have not had anyone participating in the mission field from our church for many years. How exciting to have someone volunteering from FUMC and especially a new member.
Thank you, Bob, we are thrilled for you and for us.
Thankfully, we received $5,225.30. That increase gave us funds to pay for Bob Kernell's mission trip and we can increase our contribution to Zimbabwe with the remainder of the overage.
Thank you, FUMC Faith Family. You are a great group.
Jerry Dodson took four large bags of food to LINK in April. Keep it coming!
Planning is underway for a Mission Festival the last week in September (September 27 - October 2 or 3) here at FUMC. Keep in touch because we have high hopes for an exciting, informative and fun (food, too) event! You will be hearing from your mission team!
