Little things do mean a lot -- especially when those little things are brought together as Church World Service (CWS) "Gift of the Heart" Kits. The contents of each of these "starter sets" are such simple, small things -- pencils, tablets, washcloths -- but having or not having them can make a world of difference in an on-going development program or when disaster strikes. That's why Health, Baby and School Kits are among the items most requested by our overseas partners each year. The need is great and we can never have too many on hand.

Seal all items in a one gallon plastic bag with a zipper closure. Or, if you prefer, a donation of $12 will allow Church World Service to provide a Health Kit.
Pack all these items in the cloth bag and secure contents with the closure. Or, if you prefer, a donation of $11 per kit will allow Church World Service to buy school supplies for use in class-room settings.
Bundle these items inside one of the receiving blankets and secure with diaper pins. Or you may choose to give a donation of $35, which will allow Church World Service to provide a new Baby Kit for an infant in a mother and child care program.
Assembling Kits... purchasing Kits... it doesn't take a lot of money -- or time -- just a "lotta" heart!
Young Women for Jesus (our girls' circle) are having a school bag sewing session on Saturday, May 8, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon. At this time we have three portable sewing machines. If this is something you would like to help with contact Gerry at 595-0383. (We're having pizza for lunch!) Everyone is invited to help with this hands-on project.
