Stop Childhood Poisoning!! Continued from Page 4

Follow these safety tips to help keep children safe from poisons:

Lock poisonous products and medicines out of the reach and sight of children.
Store poisonous products in their original labeled containers.
Keep medicines, vitamins and household products in containers with child resistant caps.
Use children's safety latches on all cabinets and drawers.
Before using a poisonous product, carefully read the label on the bottle.
While using a poisonous product, never leave it unattended so that a child could find it.
After using a poisonous product, put it back in a locked cabinet. Make sure the container is closed tightly.
Never call medicine, "candy," or say it tastes like candy. Children may eat medicine thinking it is candy.
Do not take or give medicine in front of children, or while another child is watching.
Install carbon monoxide detectors.
Keep cosmetics and other little-known hazards out of a child's reach (that includes keeping handbags and make-up kits stored safely away at all times).
Check your house for peeling paint.
Keep the phone number of the local Poison Center on or near all phones. National Poison Center

Calling all bunnies . . .

The children's Easter Party will be Saturday, April 10 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the church fellowship hall. All children between the ages of 2½ to 10 years are invited. Rev. LeGault has donated two books that will certainly be of special interest to our teenagers. The are *Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul and Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul II. The editors of both books are Jack Canfield, M.V. Hansen and Kimberly Kirberger.

*Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul is on the UMW Reading Program List for 1999 under the YOUTH category.

Thanks to the Bithynia Class for placing four memory books in our library. All four books are listed under Spiritual Growth on the UMW Reading Program List for 2004.
