Through the grants program FUMC Foundation provides annual funding for outreach ministry on behalf of First United Methodist Church of Newport News. The Foundation receives gifts, memorials, and bequests on behalf of First Church and invests those gifts, so that they might provide perpetual funds for the benefit of others. During 2003, the Foundation made the following financial assistance grants totaling $13,500.
We concentrated our giving for the year 2003 on those agencies whose services were in such great demand due to the devastation of Hurricane Isabel.
