Audio Tapes of Sunday Sermons
Jim Sandstrom has been recording Sunday sermons and other prominent events in the life of our church. These tapes are located in the library in the bookcase on the far wall under the picture. You are welcome to listen to them using the tape player located on the shelf to the left of the computer or you may sign one out to listen to at home. Bette Jones and John LeGault also share them with our "shut-ins."
The Peninsula District Historical Society will meet Thursday, March 25 at 12:00 noon at Central United Methodist Church, 22 Chapel Street, Hampton. Pastor James Myers of First Friends Church on Big Bethel Road will be the featured speaker. The cost of lunch is $6, payable at the door. To make reservations call Central UMC at 723-3112 no later than Monday, March 22. If you would like to ride the church van contact the church office at 595-0383.

World Day of Prayer will be celebrated by Church Women United of Newport News on Friday, March 5 at Warwick Memorial United Methodist Church. Registration is at 10:00 a.m. with the program beginning at 10:30 a.m.
The program In Faith, Women Shape the Future was written by the women of Panama. Panama is a multi-ethnic and multi-racial country of happy, cordial and peaceful people.
In the worship service, Biblical texts and music are given in three languages: English, Spanish and Guaymi Indian. For example, one of our own congregation's favorite hymns, Lord, You Have Come to the Lakeshore, will also be sung in the Spanish version, Pescador de Hombres.
Shirley Morgan of St. Timothy Holiness Church is Chairperson of the Day. Each church is asked to contribute a platter of finger foods for the fellowship meal following the service.
The church is located on Hoopes Road off Denbigh Blvd. All women are invited to attend.
