The United Methodist Youth will be taking orders for Innisbrook Wrapping Paper and other gift items between October 5 and 19. You can order a variety of wrapping paper -- both Christmas and All Occasion -- including gift bags and boxes, ribbon and bows, stationary and other gift items. Samples are available and can be seen on the Youth Bulletin Board outside the pastor's office.
Look for the youth to be taking orders near the back door and in the parlor on Sundays, October 5, 12, and 19. The youth make a 50% profit on what is sold. The proceeds go toward various activities and projects of the youth.

Back by popular demand. Family Life is sponsoring a night of line dancing. On Saturday, October 18 beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall, Trudy Nelson will again lead us in line dancing. We will refresh ourselves with some old dances and learn a few new ones too. No experience is necessary. This activity is for the whole family. Afterwards, we'll replenish our energy with ice cream sundaes.
For more than 30 years the St. Jude's Ranch for Children in Nevada, has accepted used holiday, birthday, and all-occasion cards. The Ranch is a residential facility for abused, neglected and abandoned children.
The cards are sold to the public and the children receive 15¢ for each acceptable card made. The money is divided between savings, college fund and group outings.
Please continue to drop your fronts of all kinds of cards at our church, and I'll see that they are handled.
Please accept my deepest appreciation to all those that have been so generous with their cards. I'm happy to just have a small part in this worthy project.
"I can't think of a more loving gesture, than when an adult bends down to help a child."
