Help Stop World Hunger |
The CROP Walk is a program of Church World Service. The CROP Walk is a way in which persons of all ages can raise money to help the hungry and poor of our communities and around the world. It is a way to give out of our abundance to those in need.
The Peninsula District is sponsoring a CROP Walk on Sunday, October 26 in Newport News Park. Our youth will be walking and they need your help. They are collecting donations (make checks payable to "Church World Service"). Please drop your donations in the CROP WALK Aquarium located in the narthex or give to Annette Pomeroy at the church office. Last year we raised $447.82. Our goal this year is $600.
There are several ways you can support the Peninsula CROP WALK:
The children of First Church and FUMC Preschool and their families are invited to a fun-filled afternoon on Saturday, November 1 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Come for good fellowship and fun activities.
