We will meet as an Executive Board on Tuesday, September 2 at 9:30 a.m. There are several items on the agenda, including the final plans for the Craft Show which will be Saturday, October 25, a week earlier than usual. Hilton Day will also be held on that date, so we hope to draw people from that event.
If you have read any book on the Reading List, please give that information to Billie Way or to your circle leaders at your September meeting.
The Fall District Meeting will be at Trinity United Methodist Church, Poquoson, on Saturday, October 4, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon. Beth Parker, a Conference officer, and Monica Sprague, our district officer, will give a summary of a conference they attended in Nashville, which will be informative. Also, we will have the Candle Burning and presentation of awards. Lunch will be served by the host church. Mark your calendar now for this event.
Our local general meeting will be Tuesday, September 16 in the early evening. Your circle leader will give you the details. As a business matter, the slate of officers for 2004 will be presented and voted upon. Let us have a good representation at this meeting.
Let's work diligently the remaining months of this year. You always have!

Dear Lord God,

Grant us the strength and grace to carry out what you would have us do, and then help us accomplish whatever else must be done each and every day. (In other words, help us to gracefully fit everything into this wonderful, crazy jigsaw puzzle which is life.)
Let us approach all these activities with love and joy and patience. And as we work toward our daily goals, may we always be inspired by the beauty and wonders of your world through which we move.
Above all, we thank you for the supreme gift of your Son, our Teacher and our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen.
