The following new books, part of the United Methodist Reading Program, are now ready to be checked out.
The children's Easter Party will be Saturday, April 19 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the church fellowship hall. All children between the ages of 2½ to 10 years are invited. The P.E.O.(a philanthropic and educational program) Educational Loan Fund, a revolving loan fund established in 1907, makes loans available to qualified women (citizens or legal permanent residents of the U.S. or Canada) who desire a higher education and are in need of financial assistance. The maximum amount of a loan is $9,000 at a low interest rate of 4%. Available for undergraduate study after the second year, loans are also available for graduate degrees, vocational study or associate degrees. In 2003, the P.E.O. ELF had $10.5 million available. Xtra Years of Zest will meet Wednesday, April 23 at 12:00 noon in the Fellowship Hall for their covered-dish luncheon. Following lunch, Louise Fox will recount some amusing reminiscences. You don't want to miss this opportunity for fun and fellowship.
