A minister waited in the full service line at the gas station for a fill-up just before a long holiday week-end. The attendant worked quickly, but there were just too many cars ahead of him to get to the pumps without a long wait.

Finally, the attendant motioned him toward a vacant pump. "Reverend," said the young man, "sorry about the delay. It seems as if everyone waits until the last minute to get ready for a long trip."

The minister chuckled, "I know what you mean. It's the same in my business."

Relay for Life

Yes - it is almost time to get our walking shoes out of the closet! Our team is again planning for another successful year with your help. We will "Relay for Life" at Todd Stadium, May 30-31 and we hope to see all of you there. Of course, before this happens, we will be actively soliciting your donations to the American Cancer Society. Each year we see vast strides in counter-attacking this dread disease and we are confident that one day it will be obliterated. We have an account set up in the church office and you may make donations to it at any time; to honor someone, or just because you want to. If you wish to make a donation through the church, please make your check payable to the church but marked for "Relay for Life." Thank you for your continued support.

Bette Jones to speak at March XYZ Meeting

The XYZ Group will be meeting, Wednesday, March 26 at 12:00 noon in the Fellowship hall for their covered-dish luncheon. Bette Jones, our parish nurse will speak about Hospice: Why We Need It. Everyone is welcome; bring friends or neighbors for our senior fellowship.
