Spring is on the way -- the Lenten Season will begin with Ash Wednesday, March 5. The beginning of the observance of Lent -- a 40-day season of spiritual preparation and self-examination to prepare for the joy of Easter. Again the draped cross will be erected in front of the church on Ash Wednesday -- it will remain there through Easter Sunday. The drape will be removed on Easter morning, April 20, and you will again be asked to bring fresh flowers to adorn the cross and make it a Living Cross on that day! We have two new committee members we would like to welcome on board -- Yvonne Edwards and Rita Verlander. |
