Remember to bring an extra dollar (or two or five or ten) with you to worship on Sunday, January 26. Our young people will be stationed at the sanctuary doors to receive your donations for the Souper Bowl of Caring. Every dollar collected here at First Church will go directly to the Peninsula Food Bank. The Souper Bowl, which began as the fruit of prayer, saw over 10,000 congregations together generate over $3.1 million for the needy in 2001.
The Monday Morning Bible Study will continue their study of the Gospel of Luke on Monday, January 8 at 10:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. If you are not part of this group, led by Louise and Russell Fox, this would be a great time to join.
Russell Fox has graciously donated the following four books which deal with the general subject of science and religion. On behalf of the congregation, thank you, Russell.
Another new addition to your library is
Seamand, David A. Healing for Damaged Emotions
Thank you, Fred Way and Jim Sandstrom for the installation of a ceiling fan to circulate the air in this small room.
The Trustees will be assessing the
space that is currently being used by
groups at First Church for storage and
their need for additional space. Jerry
Dodson will be in charge of this process
and will be contacting each group in the
upcoming months. If you have any
questions or concerns, you may contact
him first at 599-4527.
