Purpose:

This brochure has been prepared as a means of reflecting the mission and ministry of all men in our church. It is intended to serve as a tool for vital and informative communication.

Men are a vital part of First United Methodist Church. All men are urged to be active with us as we seek to move ahead with great faith and deep commitment.

The stated purpose of UM Men is "to be a creative, supportive fellowship of men who seek to know Jesus Christ, to grow spiritually and to seek daily His word".

UM Men's Commitment:

• Seek daily Christ's way of life through prayer and Bible reading
• Bear witness to HIS way in daily work and all personal contacts through our words and actions.
• Engage in some definite Christian service by recognizing that we work in partnership with God in the stewardship of life.

Our Primary Assessments:

• Pay our annual financial assessment on our lifetime charter and local District fees
• Pay our annual assessment to distribute the Upper Room devotional to hospitals, nursing homes, etc. (a longtime project of the Peninsula District UM Men)

Objectives of UM Men:

To share our beliefs, grow as disciples, work out our faith, perform projects for the church and seek total involvement of men.
